We’re a group of genealogists who want to discover and share information about English genealogy – and find tools we can use to obtain information remotely.
We’re all members of the Minnesota Genealogical Society, and have links with families in all corners of the United States, and the world.
Our group is an interest group of the Minnesota Genealogical Society and meets on the fourth Saturday of most months either at MGS’ location–1185 Concord St. North, South St. Paul, MN 55075, usually in Room 416–or at an area library. Occasionally, when our meetings conflict with holidays or MGS conferences, we schedule alternative dates and times. Check the Meetings and Topics tab for current information.
This blog is mostly written by Julia Mosman, who has been involved with “formal” genealogy for about 30 years, and whose relatives all originated in England thus far (with quite a large number from Cornwall, England).
We’d like to use the blog to enhance our members’ experience with the group – have a place for articles which might be helpful, a list of URLS we found helpful as well, and so on. Please let me know if there’s something you’d like added.
To reach us, please email “EnglandWalesIG at gmail.com” – and we’ll respond as quickly as possible.
We also have a Facebook page–please “Like” us at https://www.facebook.com/mgsenglishwelsh.
